England save Test but lose series
Saturday, 22 December 2007
England managed to reach 251-6 in their second innings and so avoid a second defeat by Sri Lanka.

Alastair Cook hit an important 118, which in part compensated for a dire first innings by the England team where they were all out for 81, whereas, for example, Jayawardene by himself was not out 213 in Sri Lanka's first innings.

Sri Lanka took the series 1-0.
