If Fabio Capello is to succeed as England manager, he will have to solve the puzzle as to why quality club players consistently under-perform in the England shirt.
England were poor. Their crossing was inaccurate and their dribbling was non-existent.
In a match where Franck Ribery's penalty separated the sides, England's only notable feature was the fact that it was David Beckham's 100th cap.

Ricky Hatton put on a battling and brave performance but was stopped in round 10 by Floyd Mayweather.
Ricky Hatton started well in the first couple of rounds and at one point seemed to be fighting not just Mayweather but also the referee, who deducted Hatton a point.
Mayweather put in a classy performance with accurate punches that proved too much in the end. |
