How Team GB will fare in track & field remains to be seen. Recent great Olympics results for Great Britain include Yngling trio Sarah Ayton, Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson taking gold, Ben Ainslie taking gold in the Finn, Zac Purchase and Mark Hunter taking a lightweight rowing gold, plus Rebecca Romero and Wendy Houvenaghel claiming a gold and silver in the women's cycling individual pursuit. Other notable performces include Louis Smith's bronze in the pommel horse. It was Great Britain's first gymnastics medal in 80 years and the first for a British individual in a century. |
