It was a fine performance by Team GB and their determination to win was demonstrated by the high proportion of golds. Compare GB's medals stats, for example, with 10th placed France, who gained 40 medals, but crucially only 7 golds. Nevertheless, Team GB would also have come fourth based on the total medal haul. Now it's on to 2012 ... |
