The team entered half-time at 0-0 with England on top without showing too much quality. England eventually broke through via a Rio Ferdinand header and added a second before an Ashley Cole mistake led to Kazakhstan getting back into contention at 2-1. However, England then started to dominate and went 5-1 up. Walcott, Wright Phillips (sub), and Heskey were first class for England as was David Beckham when he came on in the 79th minute. |
