Eventually England overcame Italy 16-31 in the Six Nations match in Rome. But they had to come from behind to do it. At one point a Ramiro Pez drop goal gave Italy a 9-7 lead at the start of the second half. England coach Andy Robinson declared himself happy with his side's second half performance. Amazingly the victory was England first away from home since February 2004 having suffered six successive away defeats to New Zealand (twice), Australia, Ireland, France and Wales. |
