Injuries have once again forced Paula Radcliffe, favourite to win the 10,000m, out of the Commonwealth Games. A foot injury sustained earlier in the year has meant that she will not compete at Melbourne, although she is expected to be fit to run in the London Marathon in April. Paula Radcliffe missed the 1994 and 1998 Commonwealth Games, although she won the 5,000m Commonwealth title in Manchester in 2002. |
