Luke turned pro in 2001 and earned his 2002 US Card at Qualifying school. Luke is short off the tee and his game is based on his accuracy.

Luke Donald's victory in the 2006 Honda Classic was his second USPGA Tour victory in 113 starts. He had previously won the 2002 Southern Farm Bureau Classic.

Luke picked up a cheque for $990,000 for his Honda Classic win, which meant that he has earned over $1 million for the last three seasons.

Luke Donald, who resides in Chicago, is ambitious. After his Honda Classic win, which took him to a ranking of 10th in the world, he said:

"Do I think I can win majors? Absolutely - I think I have a great game for majors.

"I'm very steady and that's the main reason why I think if I keep playing the way I'm playing, there's no reason why I can't strive to be the best player in the world."
