England finished the fourth day of the Commonwealth Games in a strong second position in the medals table. Team England continued to succeed in shooting, cycling and swimming. England picked up another five golds and their overall tally is now 13 golds, 13 silvers and 11 bronzes. In the pool Rebecca Cooke won gold defending her 800m freestyle title and Simon Burnett was victorious in the 100m freestyle. Team England continued to thrive at shooting, winning three more shooting golds and two bronzes. Meanwhile in the cycling, the Isle of Man picked up their first gold when Mark Cavendish won the men's scratch race final. |
