Following Dean Macey's win yesterday in the decathlon, Kelly Sotherton won gold in the heptathlon today. It was a good result for Olympic bronze medallist Sotherton, and a satisfying way to put aside her distractions. Sotherton's gold meant England ended the day in second position in the Commonwealth Games on 22 golds - sandwiched by Australia (57 golds) and India (16 golds). |
