Dee Caffari passed the Cape of Good Hope on Monday 3 April.

Dee, who is bidding to be the first woman to sail single-handed, non-stop, around the world against prevailing winds and currents, has set herself the target of 12th May to cross the finish line - which would equal 172 days at sea.

Caffari has now sailed around 22,000 miles. Project Director of the Aviva Challenge Shore Team, Andrew Roberts, points out:

"She's still got 6,200 miles to the finish line, which is the equivalent of two transatlantic crossings."
