After the departure of all three Britons in the singles, GB hopes were pinned on Tim Henman and Andy Murray in the doubles, but they excited in the second round at Monte Carlo.

Henman and Murray fought hard but eventually went down 6-3 3-6 8-10 to third seeds Nenad Zimonjic and Fabrice Santoro.
