Winning Parke In Croatia Print E-mail

Roughly 17 years ago squash player Simon Parke reached the final of the Los Angeles Open, and Frenchman Fabien Verseille was a mere three years old.

However, the two met in the final of the Croatian Open with Englishman Parke celebrating victory.

Parke reached the final without dropping a game and then saw off Verseille 11-8, 11-8, 11-6 in 38 minutes to secure his sixth PSA crown.

It was Simon Parke's first Open victory since winning the Salt Lake City Open in July 2002.
