Great Britain's ice hockey team followed their defeat to Hungary with a narrow loss to France in the 2006 IIHF World Championship Division I.

A third-period, power-play goal by Francois Rozenthal, netted hosts France a 1-0 win over GB in Amiens.

In a last-ditch effort to equalise Great Britain pulled goaltender Steven Lyle, who had a strong game, towards the end - but to no avail.

More news can be found on the IIHF site.
