Two uncapped players, Gloucestershire's never knowingly underbowled Jon Lewis and Lancashire's Sajid Mahmood have been named in England's 13-man squad for the first npower Test against Sri Lanka at Lord's, starting on Thursday. Although Marcus Trescothick has returned to the squad, Freddie Flintoff has retained the captaincy. Chairman of selectors David Graveney commented: "Andrew Flintoff did an outstanding job as captain in difficult circumstances in India with a young team and he will lead the side again while Michael Vaughan continues with his rehabilitation from injury." |
