Rugby Union: Mike Ford and John Wells have joined England's coaching staff as specialist assistants. Ford, who has worked for the British and Irish Lions, joins from Saracens as defence coach; whilst Wells comes in from the RFU's National Academy as a forwards coach. Angling: James Carr is the new Chairman of the Salmon & Trout Association (S&TA). Carr takes over from Tony Bird, who served as Chairman for six years. Football: According to Sven Goran Erikkson, Michael Owen is in his best shape "for many years" and is likely to start opposite Peter Crouch in the England B international against Belarus on Thursday. |
