It's been a busy time at England HQ. Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed his plans for the side in the World Cup, as well as deciding to bring Wayne Rooney's scan forward. Answering questions revolving around Aaron Lennon, Sven said: "I think everybody agrees with the starting 11. I know the team and you would pick the same team ... "If Beckham is fit, if Frank Lampard is fit, if Steven Gerrard is fit and if Joe Cole is fit, they should start ... "The fact is that all four midfielders are in great form and they are all in excellent condition ... "I am sure Lennon could play as a second striker in the last 20 minutes. He would come on, take the ball and run." Meanwhile it was announced that Wayne Rooney's next scan will be on 7 June - a week earlier than planned. |
