GB's remaining interest in the women's singles, Melanie South and Sarah Borwell, both lost in Wimbledon's second round.

Melanie South went down 7-6 (7-5) 6-2 to Shenay Perry whilst Sarah Borwell lost 6-1 6-2 to 19th seed Ana Ivanovic.

Meanwhile Jamie Delgado and Martin Lee both lost, although Delgado managed to take the second set against 15th seed Sebastien Grosjean.

Andy Murray's match against Julien Benneteau was interrupted by bad light with Murray leading two sets to one 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 4-6.
