England were 88-3 when Paul Collingwood and Alastair Cook put on an England fourth-wicket record stand against Pakistan of 221.

Both Cook and Collingwood benefitted from dropped catches on their way to unbeaten centuries.

At close of play on the first day of the first Test, England were 309-3 with Cook on 101 and Collingwood on 109.
