Having recently won the Norwich Union European Trials 800m, Michael Rimmer (Liverpool Pembroke and Sefton Harriers) ran 1:45.23 at the IAAF Grand Prix in Helsinki, Finland. It beat Rimmer's previous best by 0.24 seconds and gained him third place behind Mbulaeni Mulaudzi and Bram Som. Rimmer is now 8th in the current European rankings, just behind Richard Hill (Notts AC). |
