On the third day of the third Test, Pakistan reached 538 (a lead of 23). Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan's 363-run partnership was a Pakistan record for any wicket against England.

Stand-out bowler for England was Monty Panesar, who bowled patiently to accrue figures of 47.4 overs - 13 maidens - 127 runs - 3 wickets.

England were 3-0 at the close, 20 runs behind the tourists.
