It remains to be seen whether Gough, or any of the newcomers Ravi Bopara, Stuart Broad, Mal Loye, Graham Onions and Michael Yardy make it into the final 14. Chairman of selectors, David Graveney noticed that the squad that lost 5-0 to Sri Lanka in the ODIs had room for improvement: "Some of the younger lads were given an opportunity against Sri Lanka and it probably didn’t work out as well as we expected." Neverthless Graveney and his colleagues have failed to find room for Monty Panesar. |
