John Terry scored the opener in his debut as England captain, Chelsea colleague Frank Lampard provided another and Peter Crouch two more as England beat Greece 4-0.
Without getting carried away it was a good performance by England. It was not all one-way traffic: Ashley Cole cleared a couple of chances off the line and substitute goalkeeper Chris Kirkland was called upon to make a great save.
Steve McClaren declared himself pleased with England and added: "I thought Owen Hargreaves was phenomenal".
