Mark Lewis-Francis has had his eligibility for Team GB selection at a future Olympic Games restored.

On 18 May 2005 Mark Lewis-Francis was found guilty of a doping offence after the authorities found him with cannabis at the European Indoor Championships held in Madrid.

Following an appeal from Mark Lewis-Francis, the British Olympic Association (BOA) Appeals Panel was satisfied that there had been no intention on the part of the athlete to enhance performance, and accepted the view that this was a minor offence and agreed that the athlete's eligibility for selection should be immediately and unconditionally restored.
