England escape as rain stops play Print E-mail

The first ODI between England and Pakistan was abandoned because of rain.

England scored a meagre 202, and it would have been less if they had not been saved by the Bell - Ian Bell, who hit 88 - albeit not without its troubles.

Pakistan were 46-1 off seven overs and looked favourites for victory when play was abandoned because of rain.
