England failed to qualify for the hockey World Cup semi-finals after losing 4-3 to Holland in a cracking contest.

England went 2-0 up after just 13 minutes thanks to goals by James Tindall and Richard Mantell but Holland levelled it quickly before half-time.

England took the lead again, Tindall scoring his second, but Taeke Taekema converted two penalty corners and ensured a 4-3 victory for Holland.
