Whilst Paul Casey was busy trouncing Shaun Micheel 10&8 in the final of the World Match Play - the biggest ever win in the tournament's final - fellow Englishman Ian Poulter was busy winning the Madrid Open by five strokes.
Micheel had done well to get to the final by beating Tiger Woods, Luke Donald and Robert Karlsson, however he was on relatively poor form in the final.
Paul Casey takes home £1 million after defeating Retief Goosen, Mike Weir, Colin Montgomerie and Micheel.
