The England and Wales Cricket Board have confirmed that Monty Panesar was racially abused during England's match against New South Wales. Marcus Trescothick has left the tour to return to England. The ECB announced: "The Somerset batsman has suffered a recurrence of the stress related illness which led to him returning home from England's tour of India earlier this year." England drew with New South Wales with a much improved display. Kevin Pietersen led the way with an entertaining 122. New South Wales 355-9 declared and 194-6 versus England 349
