Two points seperated the sides and so England avoided an eighth straight defeat and the worst run of results in 135 years. England were behind 21-13 with just 20 minutes to go but Phil Vickery replaced the injured Andrew Sheridan and scored with seven minutes remaining. Andy Goode converted and England held on in the remaining minutes. |
