England have named a 12-man squad, captained by Andrew Strauss, for the first npower Test against West Indies.

Strauss captains the side in the absence of Michael Vaughan, who has a broken finger.

Chairman of selectors David Graveney said:

"Our view is that the team's best interests will be served if Andrew Strauss leads the team as this will allow Andrew Flintoff to concentrate on his batting and bowling."

Sussex wicket-keeper Matthew Prior makes his Test debut.

Owais Shah is included as stand-by for Kevin Pietersen. James Anderson has not been included in the 12 man line-up but is the stand-by seamer.
