In a thoroughly professional performance Lewis Hamilton won the Canadian Grand Prix to take his first Formula One victory after just six races.

In an incident packed race, Lewis Hamilton kept his composure to finish 4.34 seconds ahead of Nick Heidfeld.

Lewis Hamilton now has an eight-point lead in the Championship.
