After dropping Harmison and Hoggard, it was the bowlers that provided the key to England's improved performance. They removed New Zealand for 191 in the first innings and although New Zealand managed to accrue 311 in the second innings, the total would have been a lot less if it had not been for some slovenly fielding. It was England's first victory since June 2007. |
