In the draw, Fallon has avoided Holland's Ruben Houkes, winner of the 2007 World Championships and silver medallist at the 2008 European Championships, who is in the opposite half. Sarah Clark starts her judo camapign in the under-63kg class on Tuesday 12 August and is drawn against Austria's Claudia Heill, the silver medallist in Athens four years ago. Also on Tuesday, Euan Burton fights Argentina's Emmanuel Lucenti in his opening contest at under-81kg. On Wednesday, Winston Gordon at under-90kg takes on Khurshid Nabiev of Uzbekistan. On Thursday Michelle Rogers and Peter Cousins start their Olympic campaigns. In the women's under-78kg class Rogers is up against Korea's Gyeongmi Jeong, whilst Cousins faces Georgia's Levan Zhorzholiani in the under-100kg class. |
